No Self Limits (“the publication,” “we,” “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you visit noselflimits.com or subscribe to the newsletter, how that information is used, the third parties involved, and the rights and choices you have. If you do not agree with this policy, do not use the site or the newsletter.
Information collected
Information you provide. If you contact the publication through the contact form, submit a letter through the Suggest a Topic form, or subscribe to the email newsletter, the publication collects the information you submit. This typically includes your email address and any optional fields (name, situation summary).
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, noselflimits.com collects standard server-side request data (IP address, browser user-agent string, referring URL, pages viewed, timestamps). This data is used in aggregate to operate the site, measure traffic, and detect abuse.
Cookies and similar technologies. The site uses cookies and similar technologies to operate basic features, remember preferences, measure traffic, and serve cached pages. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; some site features may not work correctly without them. Cookie consent is managed through the cookie banner displayed on first visit.
How information is used
Information is used to operate and improve the site, respond to contact and suggestion submissions, send the email newsletter to subscribers (opt-in only), measure traffic and content performance, prevent and detect fraud or abuse, and comply with legal obligations. The publication does not sell your personal information.
Lawful bases (GDPR)
For visitors located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the publication processes personal data on the following lawful bases under the GDPR: consent (newsletter subscription, optional cookies), legitimate interest (operating the site, measuring traffic in aggregate, preventing abuse), and compliance with legal obligations.
Your rights and choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. Subscribers can unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link at the bottom of every email. To exercise any other right, send a request through the contact page. The publication will respond within 30 days where required by law.
For California residents, under the CCPA you have the right to know what personal information has been collected about you, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of any sale or sharing of your personal information. The publication does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Third-party services
The site uses a small number of third-party services to operate. Each is named below with what it does. The publication has no control over the privacy practices of these third parties beyond the agreements between the publication and each provider; review each service’s privacy policy for details.
- Microsoft Clarity. A behavioral analytics tool that records anonymized session replays, heatmaps, and click maps to help understand how readers move through the site. Clarity does not collect personally identifiable information and anonymizes session data per Microsoft’s privacy practices.
- Beehiiv. Email newsletter platform. When you subscribe, your email address and any optional fields are stored by Beehiiv on the publication’s behalf. Beehiiv processes subscription, delivery, and unsubscribe requests.
- Amazon Associates. Some product links on this site are affiliate links to Amazon. Amazon may set cookies to attribute purchases to this site. The publication receives commission information in aggregate and does not receive your purchase details.
- WPCode. A WordPress plugin that injects site-wide scripts. WPCode itself does not collect visitor data.
- LiteSpeed Cache. Server-side caching for performance. Does not store personal data beyond anonymous cache keys.
- Rank Math. SEO plugin that manages metadata and structured data. Does not collect visitor data.
- CookieYes. Cookie consent banner. Stores your consent preferences in your browser only.
- Hosting provider. The site is hosted on a managed WordPress hosting provider that processes server requests and standard server logs.
To opt out of Microsoft Clarity tracking, most browser Do-Not-Track settings, ad-blockers, or browser privacy extensions will block the Clarity script.
Data retention
Server logs and aggregate analytics are retained for up to 12 months. Newsletter subscriber data is retained for as long as you remain subscribed and for a reasonable period thereafter for unsubscribe processing. Contact form submissions are retained as long as needed to respond and for legitimate operational records. You can request deletion of any data at any time through the contact page.

The publication uses commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is fully secure. The publication cannot guarantee absolute security.
